Stuff about Me
I have to start with some block quote examples, right? :-)
Among those whom I like or admire, I can find no common denominator, but among those whom I love, I can: all of them make me laugh.
Remember to never split an infinitive. The passive voice should never be used. Do not put statements in the negative form. Verbs have to agree with their subject. Proofread carefully to see if you words out. If you reread your work, you can find on rereading a great deal of repetition can be avoided by rereading and editing. A writer must not shift your point of view. And don't start a sentence with a conjunction. (Remember, too, a preposition is a terrible word to end a sentence with.) Don't overuse exclamation marks!! Place pronouns as close as possible, especially in long sentences, as of 10 or more words, to their antecedents. Writing carefully, dangling participles must be avoided. If any word is improper at the end of a sentence, a linking verb is. Take the bull by the hand and avoid mixing metaphors. Avoid trendy locutions that sound flaky. Everyone should be careful to use a singular pronoun with singular nouns in their writing. Always pick on the correct idiom. The adverb always follows the verb. Last but not least, avoid clichés like the plague; seek viable alternatives.
Individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today—but the core of science fiction, its essence... has become crucial to our salvation if we are to be saved at all.
My name is Boni. I am an instructor at the Soldier Development Center on Fort Bragg, for Fayetteville Technical Community College. I teach DTMS, an Army training program. My civilian courses currently include Microsoft Office 2010 (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) and Microsoft Expression Web.
But lest you think computers are my whole life, let me mention that I am a mother, with a wonderful daughter and the cutest grandson ever born. I also spend a little time on that. In addition, I am an avid reader, with science, fiction or fact, heading the list, tho even cereal boxes will do in a pinch. I almost always have a camera close by and fancy myself a photographer (someday, I will add a page) much to the annoyance of friends and family. I have even been known to watch an hour or so of television (whenever Dr Who is on). And then, there is always the PlayStation or the Wii and yes.... I even occasionally give the ol' Dreamcast a workout! I am also now officially an Art Nerd (thanx, Brenda!):
